2020 European Capitals of Culture Revealed

The recipients of 2020’s European Capitals of Culture have been named – and the picks are a definite ‘must-see’ for tourists heading to Europe this year.

Both cities are quite different in what they have to offer tourists in way of culture, food, language, and landscape, with both guaranteed to offer a plethora of festivities throughout the upcoming year.
This year’s recipients are Galway, Ireland and Rijeka, Croatia!
According to EuroNews, Galway, a small city located on Ireland’s west coast “will host festivals, exhibits, concerts and workshops throughout the year relating to the Irish language, landscape and migration.”
The Croatian city of Rijeka is home to a large port on the Adriatic Sea. Their cultural program will focus on the social changes in Eastern Europe in the 1990s and the city’s redrawn borders, according to EuroNews.
