Once you have kids it can change your travel plans dramatically, something actress Jessica Biel knows only too well.
During a recent interview with Forbes at NYC’s American Express Experience, Jessica told the mag once she welcomed her son, Silas Randall, with husband Justin Timberlake, their international travels took a downturn and they focused instead on vacationing close to home.
“We sort of stopped traveling for the first year,” Jessica revealed to Forbes. “We really didn’t go anywhere really. Maybe a couple of easy places. We travel all of the time, and we are always on planes, and it was different when we weren’t doing that.”
Now that Silas is three, the family have resumed their travel, but Jessica told Forbes vacationing with a preschooler can have its blessings and its curses.
“When you have a newborn, that newborn is just hanging out,” Jessica said. “Now, the three-year-old is like a Tasmanian Devil.”
Jessica shared with Forbes her favorite recent vacation – and it didn’t include her husband, or her three-year-old!
“I just went on a three-day vacation with my college girlfriends – no partners, no kids. I don’t remember the last time we did it,” Jessica said. “It’s been ten years, maybe, that I’ve been with these women and it was fantastic.”
“We just went to the Bahamas for three quick nights,” Jessica told Forbes. “I wish it could have been longer, but it was really that moment where we all just put a stop to our regular lives and said, we’ll figure it out, we just got on a plane and went, and it was amazing.”
