With Florida’s Disney World and California’s Disneyland both closed until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company has just released important information for annual passholders.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney’s website has reassured passholders they won’t have to pay for passes they are unable to use due to closures.

Passholders who have already paid in full have two options – have their pass extended by the amount of time the parks stay closed, or request a partial refund reflecting the length of the shutdown.

For those on monthly payments there are also two options available – Disney announced it will stop collecting monthly installments as of April 5 and refund any payments made between March 14 and April 4, or choose to extend their passes equal to the time the parks are shutdown. The Orlando Sentinel reports they still won’t pay until the parks reopen, and their monthly charges will be extended through their new expiration date.
