By looking at where customers reserve vacation rentals, Airbnb compiled a list of locations travelers are heading to for their vacation. City travel will be a major trend this year.
According to the vacation rental platform, couples, in particular, are keen on immersing themselves in the rich culture of European cities. Excitement about European travel continues to grow, with the following international destinations proving to be popular:
Rome, Italy Seoul, South Korea London, United Kingdom Porto, Portugal Barcelona, Spain Dublin, Ireland Whistler, Canada Madrid, Spain Lisbon, Portugal Paris, France
Regarding domestic destinations, Airbnb reveals travelers are also picking city destinations, especially those hosting major sporting events such as The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
