Delta to Restart Iceland Flights

Iceland is open to tourists – if they’re vaccinated – and Delta is making it that much easier to get there by resuming its popular Iceland routes this May.

According to a press release, Delta will launch daily direct flights between Boston’s Logan Airport and Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport on May 20.
Daily service from New York’s JFK International Airport to Iceland will resume on May 1 and Delta customers wishing to fly to Iceland from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport can do so beginning May 27.

“We know our customers are eager to safely get back out into the world, including exploring one of the globe’s most beautiful outdoor destinations,” Delta’s senior vice president of network planning, Joe Esposito, said in a statement to Yahoo Life. “As confidence in travel rises, we hope more countries continue reopening to vaccinated travelers, which mean more opportunities to reconnect customers to the people and places that matter most.”

To visit Iceland, tourists must provide proof of vaccination. Visitors can also provide proof of recovery from COVID-19, Travel+Leisure reports.
