Disney Axing Epcot’s “Illuminations” Show

For the past 18 years the nightly “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” show has delighted visitors to Disney’s Epcot – but it’s all about to end as Disney plans to axe the popular firework show in 2019.
Performed nightly in the middle of Epcot’s World Showcase, the show first started in 1999 and retells the amazing history of our planet in three parts – “The Earth is born,” “The Triumph of Life,” and “Hope for the Future.”

According to a statement on Disney’s website, the “show is currently planned to run through the end of summer 2019 to make way for a new nighttime fireworks spectacular.”
