Riders on Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain experienced a little more thrill than they bargained for after the log they were riding on began to take on water.

According to numerous media outlets, all five passengers onboard the log managed to escape safely before the vehicle became submerged.
However, one passenger took to Twitter to share video footage on the incident, revealing “the Disney World employee decided to tell us that we should’ve stayed in the boat but it went under as soon as we all stepped out.”

According to FOX 35, “Walt Disney World confirmed that one boat did take on water at the end of the ride and that all five guests onboard were able to get out safely. Disney went on to work with them individually to ensure the rest of their visit was good.”

According to Travel+Leisure, it’s unclear how or why the log became submerged in the water, but a Disney spokesperson revealed the incident occurred at the end of the ride.

The ride is now back up and running.
