Germany is updating its testing and quarantine requirements for tourists if they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to Travel Awaits, the German government has agreed to let fully vaccinated tourists, or those who have recovered from the infection, skip testing and quarantine restrictions as long as they are coming from a non-high-risk country.

The German government also approved a change allowing for non-vaccinated tourists to end their quarantine early if they test negative.

USA Today reports Germany is expected to roll out its digital immunity certification by the end of June, which will make it easier for German residents to prove they have been fully vaccinated. The certificate will be stored in an app and the goal is to make it compatible with a vaccine certification system being developed by the European Union.
