A flight destined for Malaysia was forced to turn around after a mother realized she had left her baby at the terminal.

According to Newsweek, the Saudia flight from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia had already departed the runway when the mother requested the pilots to return to King Abdul Aziz International Airport so she could retrieve the forgotten infant.

“This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing,” Newsweek reported the pilot telling air traffic control.

“We told you, a passenger left her baby in the terminal and refuses to continue the flight,” the pilot was forced to say once again to the completely baffled control tower.

According to Newsweek, the identity of the mother has not been made public, however, mother and baby were reunited once the plane returned to the gate.
