Nassau is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world, with approximately 3.7 million cruise passengers visiting each year. The Bahamas will soon welcome those tourists into a glitzy new revamped port that has been four years in the making!

Costing approximately $300 million, Nassau’s rejuvenated cruise port will officially open in May 2023.
According to CruiseHive, Nassau’s new cruise port will accommodate up to six cruise ships on the same day, including three Oasis-class vessels. Passenger capacity at the terminal will increase from 20,000 to approximately 33,000 passengers daily.

Not only has the new cruise port been expanded to accommodate more cruise passengers, but the location itself will function as an entertainment destination for both locals and tourists.

CruiseHive reports the port will feature a Junkanoo museum, event and entertainment spaces, a living coral exhibit, stores, restaurants, and a 3,500-person amphitheater.
