Splash Mountain Set to Reopen This Week

Fans of Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain will soon be able to enjoy their favorite theme park attraction once again, with news the water ride will reopen on February 11.

Magic Kingdom closed the attraction down at the beginning of the year for its annual refurbishment, although it is unknown yet whether the refurbishment will include a Princess and the Frog re-theme.
Disney announced in 2020 Splash Mountain would undergo a massive re-theme to feature Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney updated fans in August 2021 revealing the Princess and the Frog transformation would not be happening for a long time.

According to Inside the Magic, since the ride closed for its annual refurbishment, those in the know feel it is highly unlikely the Princess and the Frog transformation has taken place yet, but with the magic of Disney, you just never know!
