These Top Destinations Are Trending for 2021

Although 2020 may have been a complete doozy when it comes to travel, 2021 is looking a lot more promising thanks to increased COVID testing and the promise of a possible vaccine on the horizon.

Expedia has just released its 2021 Travel Trends report showing which destinations are trending when it comes to internet searches.
Not surprisingly, the majority of searches are focused on destinations that offer sun, sand, and the chance to escape from everyday life. Travelers have also included locations easily accessible by a number of flights, which has seen beach locations in Mexico nab the top two spots.

According to Expedia’s 2021 Travel Trends report, these are the top 11 trending destinations:

1. Cancun, Mexico
2. Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum, México
3. Las Vegas, Nevada
4. Orlando, Florida
5. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
6. Maui, Hawaii
7. Oahu, Hawaii
8. Miami, Florida
9. Los Cabos, Mexico
10. French Polynesia
11. The Maldives
