After being closed for the best part of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, California’s Disneyland Resort will reopen once again, but visitors won’t be able to see Mickey or participate in any rides.

Instead, the Anaheim theme park will serve as a mass COVID-19 vaccination site for Orange County, with USA Today reporting the park’s size will allow health care workers to administer thousands of vaccine shots per day.

“It’s important to vaccinate as many willing people as possible for COVID-19, and we need the space to do it,” Orange County Third District Supervisor Donald P. Wagner told USA Today. “I thank Disneyland Resort and the City of Anaheim for stepping up in the shared effort to give OC residents protection against the virus.”

The Disneyland vaccine site is expected to be up and running by the end of this week. Orange County is currently in its “Phase 1A, all tiers” distribution of the vaccine, which includes law enforcement, first responders, and others working in high-risk settings such as nursing homes. USA Today reports seniors over the age of 75 have also been added to this tier.
