This is the World’s Busiest Airport

For the 21st year in a row Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been named the world’s busiest airport.

According to the annual world traffic report released by the Airports Council International, Hartsfield-Jackson saw more than 107 million passengers travel through the airport in 2018, marking a 3.3 percent increase in passenger traffic.
The Airports Council International annual world traffic report revealed passenger traffic across the globe increased to 8.8 billion in 2018, according to CNN. That number marks a 6.4 percent increase year-over-year.

According to CNN, Beijing Capital International Airport came in a close second for passenger movements, with over 100 million passengers in 2018. The Dubai Airport came in third with 89 million passengers.

Here are the top ten world’s busiest airports according to the ACI:

1. Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International, 107 million passengers.
2. Beijing Capital International Airport, 100 million passengers.
3. The Dubai Airport, 89 million passengers.
4. Los Angeles International Airport, 87.5 million passengers.
5. Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, 86.9 million passengers.
6. Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, 83.2 million passengers.
7. London’s Heathrow Airport, 80.1 million passengers.
8. Hong Kong International Airport, 74.5 million passengers.
9. Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport, 74 million passengers.
10. Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport, 72.2 million passengers.
