This State is Home to the Most Stressed People in America

Is your state making you feel stressed? According to a new study from the personal finance website WalletHub, where you live could affect your stress levels.

WalletHub took a look at all fifty US states using 41 different measures of stress in four major categories: work, money, family, and health and safety. Their data set ranges from average hours worked per week to hours slept, bankruptcy rates, credit scores, affordable housing, and divorce rates, among others.
According to WalletHub’s study, residents of Louisiana are the most stressed out in America thanks to long working hours and low income. Utah residents were the least stressed-out Americans.

The top ten most stressed-out states, according to WalletHub are:

1. Louisiana
2. Nevada
3. New Mexico
4. West Virginia
5. Mississippi
6. Arkansas
7. Oklahoma
8. Alabama
9. Texas
10. Tennessee

The least stressed-out states in the US, according to WalletHub are:

1. Utah
2. Minnesota
3. South Dakota
4. Wisconsin
5. New Hampshire
6. Hawaii
7. North Dakota
8. Massachusetts
9. Nebraska
10. New Jersey
