With Florida still topping domestic searches on Trivago despite the state’s high COVID numbers, United Airlines is going to make it easier than ever for people to travel to the sunshine state this winter.

According to Travel+Leisure, United will add more than two dozen direct flights to various Florida airports starting November 6, servicing airports including Boston, New York, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Columbus.
“The addition of these new flights represents United’s largest expansion of point-to-point, non-hub flying and reflects our data driven approach to add capacity where customers are telling us they want to go,” United’s vice president of Domestic Network Planning, Ankit Gupta, told Travel+Leisure. “We look forward to offering customers in the Midwest and Northeast more options to fly nonstop to Florida this winter.”

Beginning in November, the carrier will add up to 28 direct flights to popular Florida destinations such as Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, Travel+Leisure reports. United will first add nonstop roundtrip service from Boston, Cleveland, and New York to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa. The airline will follow up in December by adding additional flights from the midwest to Fort Myers and Tampa – perfect for those snowbirds and tourists looking to escape the frigid winter temps in favor of Florida’s sunny climate.
