There’s nothing more stressful than realizing you’re going to miss your connecting flight, but thankfully United Airlines are unveiling a new tool to help combat that anxious feeling.

According to USA Today, United’s new ConnectionSaver tool will identify departing flights that can be held for connecting customers.

United tested the new tool at Denver International Airport in February, before expanding it to Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The airline announced this week they plan to expand ConnectionSaver to other airports in the future.
United shared details of the technology via Twitter in a video explaining passengers at Chicago O’Hare were able to make their connecting flight to Tokyo, Japan thanks to the ConnectionSaver tool.

United revealed that over the past four months over 14,400 passengers with connecting flights made their connection thanks to ConnectionSaver. Flights that were held for connecting customers were delayed an average of six minutes.
