United Announces Plans to Operate Largest Transatlantic Schedule in 2024

United has announced plans to make travel to Europe easier by unveiling its ‘largest’ transatlantic schedule for summer 2024.
According to Breaking Travel News, United Airlines has announced that it will launch a new route between Newark Liberty International and Faro in Southern Portugal on May 24th. The airline will operate four weekly flights using Boeing 757-200 aircraft. United Airlines will be the first and only airline to offer direct flights between the US and Faro, providing a convenient and direct link for passengers traveling between the two destinations.

The carrier also announced that it will resume a seasonal route between Newark and Reykjavik on 23 May, which was last operated in the summer of 2022. The route will be operated by Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Furthermore, the airline will add a second daily flight between Newark and Brussels on 30 March and Washington Dulles-Rome from 23 May. Effective 2 May, the frequency of services between Newark and Malaga, Spain, will increase to daily.
United is also starting “summer” services earlier on specific routes, including the routes from Washington Dulles to Lisbon, Barcelona and Rome from 15 February, Breaking Travel News reports. The seasonal services between Newark and Nice in France will start on 30 March. Also, flights from Chicago to both Rome and Milan will begin on the same day. The Newark-Naples service will start on 5 April, while San Francisco-Rome services will commence on 2 May.
