California surfers will soon have another alternative to ocean waves thanks to a brand new surf resort planned for Palm Desert, California.

According to TravelAwaits, the man-made wave pool will be part of the DSRT Surf Resort located within the Desert Willow Golf Course in Palm Desert.
Even though Palm Desert is situated about two hours from the nearest beach, surfing enthusiasts will still be able to catch the perfect wave at DSRT Surf Resort’s 5.5-acre surfing lagoon with ocean-like waves powered by Wavegarden Cove. TravelAwaits reports the waves will include rights, lefts, barrels, walls, and turn sections for experienced surfers, along with a gentle inside section for families and beginners.
The resort will also include a 92-room hotel, 83 residential villas, a spa and fitness center, restaurants, and other activities including pickleball, volleyball and yoga.

DSRT Surf Resort is scheduled to open in late 2023.
