In what is predicted to be a record-breaking summer travel season, the AAA is warning people to book their travel now.
According to Rochester First, the AAA says airports and roadways are bracing for a record 2023 summer of travel!
“I think it’s an exciting summer travel season that’s coming our way,” said Mark Gruba with AAA in a statement to Rochester First.
“The longer you wait, the more you run the risk of losing out on that trip you want,” he said, adding that international cruises and tours across the board are getting sold out already.
AAA said they expect hotel rooms, rental cars and plane tickets to sell fast this year as travelers try to compensate for lost time during the COVID-19 crisis.
“The key is giving yourself plenty of time to plan ahead,” AAA Northeast Vice President Cyndi Zesk said. “Even as inflation continues to drive up costs across the travel industry, Americans are prioritizing leisure travel. With high demand this summer, it’s important to do your homework.”
