Is there anywhere prettier than New England in the fall? From beautiful autumnal foliage to quaint storybook towns, the Northeast makes for the perfect getaway and Amtrak is here to make your trip even more affordable with their two-for-one travel deal.
According to Lonely Planet, Amtrak has launched a special two-for-one deal and new discounts, which sees fares drop as low as $30.
The deal is valid from now through December 12, 2020, on all Acela and Northeast Regional trains throughout the Northeast corridor from Boston to Virginia.
Tickets must be booked before September 30 and the deal excludes travel dates on Fridays and Sundays, along with Thanksgiving week dates of November 24, 25, and 30.
The company has also overhauled its app with Lonely Planet reporting customers can now see how full their reserved train will be in real-time when booking tickets to help with social distancing measures.
“Prioritizing health and safety, we continue to provide customers with new, innovative measures that promote physical distancing and contactless travel,” said Amtrak President and CEO Bill Flynn in a statement reported by Lonely Planet.
