After nearly two years of being shuttered up due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will finally reopen its doors to surf-starved visitors.

Disney was forced to close Typhoon Lagoon in March of 2020 – and although its other parks gradually started to reopen during that summer, Typhoon Lagoon remained off-limits.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the water park will reopen on January 2, 2022 – and the park has some special 50th anniversary treats to welcome guests back to its infamous lazy river and thrilling water slides.

WDW News Today reveals Typhoon Lagoon will roll out various different flavored DOLE Whip treats, including mango, pineapple, lime and raspberry. Adults also have the option of topping their DOLE creations with tequila, dark rum, or coconut rum!
