Kim and Kanye Focus on Family in the Dominican Republic

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West took time outside of the US to focus on family with a trip to the Dominican Republic.

The couple jetted off to the Caribbean nation with their children to spend some quality family time in the sun. The much-needed vacation comes shortly after Kanye – who suffers from bipolar disorder – announced he was running for president and revealed deeply personal family information both on the campaign trail and on Twitter.

“The couple knows they need quality time with their kids and no other outside voices or people,” a source shared with ET. “Kim knows that Kanye being with this family will be good for him.”
“They had a good family week in the Dominican Republic. They are continuing the family vacation,” a source told PEOPLE. “Kim and Kanye are getting along. They both seem much happier.”

“They decided to travel together so they can be away in private,” an insider shared with People. “Between the kids, work, and dealing with Kanye’s bipolar episodes, it’s been hard for [Kim] to think clearly.”

“Kanye suggested that they take a family trip together and Kim agreed. She wants to do everything she can to save her marriage,” People’s source revealed. “It’s all very complicated though. Kim wants him to get proper help, and Kanye still doesn’t want to. Kim is just taking things day by day right now.”
