National Parks Remain Open During Coronavirus – With Some Changes

As bars, restaurants and even some beaches around the country close to visitors during the coronavirus pandemic, The National Park Service is temporarily waiving entrance fees to make it easier for people to get outside while implementing social distancing.
According to the Associated Press, while the parks may be free people might find it more difficult to enjoy them as visitor centers, shuttles, lodges and restaurants close down in effort to fight the spread of COVID-19.

The Associated Press reports the National Park Service is “adhering to the latest guidelines from the White House and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, vowing to keep outdoor spaces open while giving park superintendents the power to close or modify operations.”
