An Emirates flight from Tokyo to Dubai gained an extra passenger mid-air after a woman gave birth during the flight.

The passenger went into labor during the 12-hour overnight flight, which Emirates told CNN landed on time despite the medical emergency.

According to CNN, Emirates cabin crew – who all receive medical training so they can handle emergencies such as heart attacks and baby deliveries – helped deliver the baby safely before the plane touched down in Dubai.

CNN reports Emirates’ policy regarding pregnant travelers is similar to that of other commercial airlines, which states travelers can fly up to their seventh month of pregnancy barring any medical complications or concerns.
