Puerto Rico Loosening COVID Restrictions for Domestic US Visitors

As COVID cases continue to decline on the island, Puerto Rico is loosening its travel-related COVID-19 restrictions for incoming domestic US visitors.

Beginning later this week, incoming tourists from the United States will no longer need to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter Puerto Rico.
Most travelers entering from outside of the United States will still need to provide proof of vaccination.

In addition to loosening its travel-related COVID-19 restrictions, Puerto Rico announced the lifting of all capacity restrictions in indoor venues, and will no longer require masks to be worn in indoor and outdoor venues, except for health facilities.

According to the New York Times, Puerto Rico authorities still recommend people wear masks in indoor areas where it is difficult to know how many people have been vaccinated.
