The Ten Most Affordable Beach Towns in America to Buy a Home

If it’s always been your dream to buy a bargain property in a beach town, Realtor.com has compiled a list of America’s ten most affordable beach towns.

To find the most affordable beach towns, Realtor.com looked at the median home prices of more than 1,300 towns located on the water, with at least 30 homes for sale as of April 2022. The towns had to have a minimum of one recreation venue and five restaurants or lodgings per 1,000 households.

According to Realtor.com, these are the top ten most affordable beach towns in America for 2022:

1. Atlantic City, New Jersey – median home price: $161,754
2. Deerfield Beach, Florida – median home price: $230,071
3. New London, Connecticut – median home price: $242,392
4. Mastic Beach, New York – median home price: $334,907
5. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – median home price: $347,875
6. Seal Beach, California – median home price: $400,338
7. Rockport, Texas – median home price: $435,112
8. Lynn, Massachusetts – median home price: $449,626
9. Morehead City, North Carolina – median home price: $464,842
10. Tiverton, Rhode Island – median home price: $480,262
