Tattooed Virgin Atlantic employees will now be able to show off their inkwork with pride!

The airline, founded by Sir Richard Branson, has updated its dress code so that tattoos no longer need to be covered.

“We’ve always encouraged our people to be themselves,” the company revealed via Twitter. “So, from today, they can now show their tattoos with pride.”
Previously, the dress code stated tattoos needed to be covered up. Still, in a press release detailing the move, Virgin Atlantic revealed they are proud to be the airline that “allows our people to truly be themselves.”

“Many people use tattoos to express their unique identities and our customer-facing and uniformed colleagues should not be excluded from doing so if they choose,” Estelle Hollingsworth, chief people officer at Virgin Atlantic, said in a press release.

“That’s why, in line with our focus on inclusion and championing individuality, we’re relaxing our tattoo restrictions for all our people. We’re proud to be the airline that sees the world differently and allows our people to truly be themselves,” Hollingsworth added.
