Yankee Candle’s 2021 Scent of the Year is Inspired by Travel

Yankee Candle is out with its 2021 Scent of the Year – and it’s inspired by all of us who are hungry to get back to traveling once again.

The home fragrance brand announced “Discovery” would be its 2021 Scent of the Year and it incorporates scents from all around the world, including vanilla spice, mango, passionfruit, and red ginger in an effort to help us all renew “feelings of discovery, energy and connection” after 2020.

“We found that people around the globe are craving travel and exploration now, more than ever before,” Anna Whitton, Yankee Candle’s VP of Marketing said in a press release reported by People. “Knowing that travel may still be out of reach for many this year, the 2021 Scent of the Year, Discovery, was designed to help people fulfill the universal desire to discover new cultures, make new memories, and embrace new connections from the comforts of their own homes.”

“Discovery” comes encased in a vibrant orange, pink and yellow Moroccan tile-inspired vessel with the orange lid doubling as a coaster when the candle is burning.

According to People, the “Discovery” candle retails for $29.50 and will be available in stores and online beginning March 21, also known as International Fragrance Day. Good news for Yankee Candle Rewards Members – you can get your hands on the Discovery candle this week via the Yankee Candle website.
