Airbnb Will Let You Design Your Vacation Dream Home – and Foot the Bill!

Spending hours perusing vacation homes and finding nothing to suit your unique tastes?

Airbnb hear your plight and have announced a new “Unique Airbnb Fund” – a $1 million program which will give 10 people $100,000 to build the most unconventional Airbnb they can come up with.
According to the vacational rental company, they will be looking for “unusual shapes, unexpected locations, immersive concepts, spaces with a story. We’re on the hunt for people who will challenge the very idea of a house.”

Sound like you? Airbnb also hopes the designs reflect a fresh perspective in every detail – a little wildness, full of surprises.

Naturally, sustainability is key and with a budget of just $100,000 a successful applicant should pay attention to the use of recycled materials, smart irrigation and energy efficiency.

Best of all Emmy and Tony Award winner Billy Porter, one of the judges on the panel, may pay the lucky winners a visit!

The competition is open through April 15, 2020.
