Are you dreaming of White Christmas? Wanting to spend the festive season surrounded by snowflakes? These five places are almost certain to make your holiday dreams come true.
And while we can’t promise these places will be full of snow on Christmas morning – accurate weather forecasts don’t come out until a few days before the big day – past data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows these places have the best chance of of waking up to a blanket of snow.

Alaska
The Weather Channel is predicting Anchorage, Alaska will have a 93 percent chance of seeing at least one-inch of snow on Christmas morning. In fact the Alaskan city has experienced a White Christmas every year since 1953, except for three years. Last year the city saw snow fall of seven-inches on Christmas morning!

Meanwhile, Fairbanks, Alaska is coming in at 100 percent and every year, except one, since 1929 the city has woken up covered in snow on Christmas morning!

Duluth, Minnesota
Pack those thermals and fly into Duluth, Minnesota for a good 97 percent chance of a White Christmas. The Weather Channel records Duluth as having a White Christmas for every year – except four – since 1916. Last year Duluth saw five-inches of snow on Christmas morning.

Marquette, Michigan
The largest city in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is predicted to have a good chance of a White Christmas with odds coming in at a hot 93 percent. With an average snowfall of 200 inches, this lovely city nestled along Lake Superior received 10-inches of snow last Christmas! You can even detour 40 miles to the Michigan town of Christmas to have your holiday cards and letter postmarked.

Caribou, Maine

With odds at 87 percent, there’s a good chance hardy Maine residents will be frolicking in the snow on Christmas morning. In fact last year they were faced with 16-inches of snow on Christmas and have experienced all but six White Christmases since 1940 making it a popular destination for snowmobilers and country-cross skiers.

Tahoe City, California
Last year Tahoe City woke up to 6-inches of snow on Christmas morning and this year the chance of a White Christmas is coming in at 86 percent. With its heritage dating back to gold rush days, nowadays Tahoe City revolves around the snow and winter sport enthusiasts can experience everything from skiing, to snowboarding, to snowmobiling and even nighttime snowshoe historical tours!
