Florida is No Longer the Best State to Retire

Sorry Florida, the Sunshine State is no longer the best place to retire.
According to a study from WalletHub, Virginia has bumped Florida from the number one spot. WalletHub’s “2023’s Best State to Retire” study evaluated all 50 states in three categories: affordability, access to health care, and quality of life – and then based each state’s total score across all three categories.
While Florida scored higher on affordability and quality of life than Virginia, its healthcare ranking lowered its total score.
According to WalletHub, these are the Top Ten Best Places to Retire in 2023:
1. Virginia 2. Florida 3. Colorado 4. Wyoming 5. Delaware 6. New Hampshire 7. South Dakota 8. Minnesota 9. Idaho 10. North Dakota
