New flight booking data from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has revealed France will remain the most popular travel destination for international travelers.
The report, in conjunction with knowledge partner ForwardKeys, found that international arrivals in France are expected to almost reach pre-pandemic levels in 2024.
Charles de Gaulle is set to remain the country’s busiest airport, but Orly Airport is expected to see an increase of nearly eight million international arrivals – boosting the rise in passenger capacity.
Paris remains the country’s most popular destination. However, the report finds Nice is also a popular vacation spot for international travelers to France.
“France’s commitment to Travel & Tourism is not just reflected in the impressive data, but in the unwavering efforts of the government,” Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO, said in a press release. “President Macron recognizes the real value Travel & Tourism brings to France in terms of the economy, jobs and its standing on the world stage. His support has ensured France remains the world’s most popular destination.”
