Hong Kong provides 500,000 free airline tickets to entice visitors to return

Before the pandemic, Hong Kong welcomed almost 56 million tourists annually.
But now after more than two years of some of the strictest travel restrictions in the world, the well-known city is now making huge efforts to entice travelers back.
Hong Kong has revealed plans to give away half a million airline tickets in an effort to attract tourism, only days after removing its long-standing required hotel quarantine requirement.
According to CNN the Airport Authority Hong Kong said that the 500,000 tickets, valued at about $254.8 million, would be distributed to both locals and foreign tourists.
