Budapest, Hungary
Taking in the sights, history and culture of Central European cities doesn’t have to bust your budget if you head to Budapest, Hungary. According to Lonely Planet, this wallet-friendly destination is a favorite amongst world travelers thanks to its rich history, renowned cafe culture, and thermal baths.
Buffalo, New York
Surprised by Lonely Planet’s second choice? Don’t be! Buffalo is undergoing quite the resurgence complete with a fast-growing hotel and restaurant scene that is sure to please any discerning tourist. According to Lonely Planet, the city’s interactive children’s museum is a must-see, along with the newly restored Frank Lloyd Wright houses of the Graycliff Estate and Martin House Complex – and of the course, stunning Niagara Falls.
Tunisia
The Northern African country of Tunisia is the perfect choice for travelers who want to experience this culturally unique area of the continent, but find Morocco a little out of their budget.
East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
