It’s been a frigid winter, with frosty temps felt even as far south as Florida – and sadly, Punxsutawney Phil predicts there is no end in sight!

The famous groundhog saw his shadow during the famous Groundhog Day event in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on Wednesday morning, which could mean we are in for another six weeks of winter.
According to CNN, groundhogs have been predicting the weather at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania since 1887, although their meteorological skills may be up for debate.

CNN reports NOAA says Phil’s track record is not perfect, with the agency noting, “On average, Phil has gotten it right 40 percent of the time over the past ten years.”
