New York City is about to get a taste of the islands with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Hotels and Resorts opening a Times Square location.
According to the Points Guy, the Margaritaville Resort Times Square will occupy a 32-story tower on the southern quadrant of Times Square and promises guests a “one-of-a-kind escape in the heart of New York City.”
The hotel brand, which is known for its tropical island vibe, will feature 234 guestrooms ready to give urban vacationers that Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville state of mind. Each room will come complete with walk-in rain showers, complimentary WiFi, soundproof windows, complimentary Paradise Water, steamer, hairdryer, signature Margaritaville bed linens, mini-fridge, and smart 55-inch tv.
The island-style party atmosphere will continue throughout the resort with Margaritaville’s famous Margaritaville Restaurant and Tiki Bar, the iconic 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, and a License to Chill Bar all providing entertainment. The resort will also be home to Times Square’s only outdoor swimming pool – and those all-important outdoor firepits.
“The resort’s fun and relaxation combined with world class amenities will bring a much-needed escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of New York City,” Margaritaville Hotels and Resorts announced on its website. “Such amenities include but are not limited to outdoor heated pool, retail store, concierge, valet parking, laundry/valet service & fitness center.”
The Margaritaville Resort Times Square is slated to open in late spring 2021.
