US Travelers From These States Can Soon Visit Costa Rica

Costa Rica is gradually starting to reopen its borders to tourists following the coronavirus pandemic and beginning in September US travelers from certain states are welcome to travel to the country.

According to Travel+Leisure, travelers from New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maine, and Vermont will be able to head to Costa Rica starting September 1st by flying into either Juan Santamaría International Airport, Daniel Oduber Quirós Airport, or Tobías Bolaños Airport.
US travelers will have to show their driver’s license to prove they are a resident of one of the approved states and, like all travelers to Costa Rica, will need to complete a health form beforehand. All tourists are also required to test negative for the coronavirus 48 hours before travel.

Tourists to the Central American country must purchase insurance covering them for up to $50,000 should they get sick while on vacation.
