Passengers flying to, from, or through Canada will now be required to wear a non-surgical face mask, or face covering of some kind, per an announcement from the country’s Transportation Minister.
“Canadians should continue to follow public health advice and stay at home if possible. However, if you need to travel, wearing a face covering is an additional measure you can take to protect others around you, especially in situations where physical distancing guidelines cannot be maintained,” Travel Minister Marc Garneau said in an announcement.

According to CNN, travelers must show they have a covering for their mouth or nose, otherwise they will not be able to continue their travels.

Travelers will be required to wear face masks, or face coverings while going through security at Canadian airports and passengers traveling via train, bus, or boat are also “strongly encouraged to wear non-medical masks or face coverings as much as possible.”
