Universal Studios Announces Super Nintendo World Opening Date

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the much-anticipated opening date for its new Super Nintendo World.

The first Super Nintendo World in the United States is set to open on February 17, 2023.
“From the moment guests pass through the iconic green pipe, a journey filled with exploration, discovery and play awaits that is entirely unlike anything they’ve experienced before,” Universal Studios Hollywood said in a press release.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the immersive theme park will offer guests a 360-degree experience based within Nintendo’s Mushroom Kingdom.

Guests will be transported to the land through the iconic green pipe, where they will experience themed dining, retail, and a new ride, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.

The new ride will feature augmented reality (AR) projection mapping technology where riders compete for the Golden Cup inside Bowser’s Castle.
