For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began, Virgin Atlantic has announced it will reinstate its full US schedule.

Following a “strong uptick in bookings,” Virgin Atlantic increase frequency to key destinations and reinstate services, including plans to operate Orlando flights from Belfast, Heathrow, Edinburgh and Manchester.
Beginning next week, flights to Seattle and Washington DC will once again take off and the airline will increase flights to San Francisco, Atlanta and New York. In April, Virgin Atlantic will add a third daily flight to Los Angeles.

“Following the relaxation of travel restrictions, we’ve seen demand increase to many of our global destinations, but particularly to our heartland in the USA,” Virgin Atlantic’s Juha Jarvinen said in a statement. “Our customers can’t wait to return.”

“The restart of our Seattle and Washington DC services marks an important milestone, as we move into recovery and welcome our customers back on board to all the destinations they’ve missed,” Jarvinen continued. “We’re simply not Virgin without the Atlantic and our growing transatlantic portfolio demonstrates why we’re the airline of choice to the USA.”
